About Us

Who We Are

We are the independent editorial team behind politicalecology.org. Our website exists solely to provide information and impartial reviews. We are not a gambling operator, and we do not offer betting services, accept wagers, or process payments. Our role is to research, analyse, and explain the landscape of top 20 betting sites available to readers in Great Britain.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help readers in GB make informed, safe choices about the top 20 betting sites. We aim to cut through promotional noise, highlight key differences between operators, and explain licensing, security, and user experience in plain English. We believe that clearer information leads to better decisions and safer gambling habits.

What We Cover

Our coverage focuses on the top 20 betting sites relevant to players in Great Britain. We examine sign-up offers, betting markets, odds competitiveness, deposit and withdrawal methods, mobile usability, customer support, and overall trustworthiness. We also explain how UK Gambling Commission licensing works, what to look for in terms of player protection, and how to compare sites beyond flashy promotions.

Editorial Independence

We earn affiliate commissions when some readers click through to a betting site from our pages and register or deposit. These commissions help fund our research and writing. However, commissions do NOT influence our editorial rankings or reviews. Our rankings are based on a consistent set of criteria, and we do not accept payment to place a site higher or to suppress critical findings. If a site performs poorly in our assessment, we say so clearly.

Our Commitment to Responsible Gambling

All gambling content on this site is intended for readers aged 18 or over, or the legal gambling age in their jurisdiction. We remind every visitor that gambling is a form of entertainment, not a source of income. We encourage you to set deposit limits, take regular breaks, and never chase losses. If you or someone you know is struggling, please contact BeGambleAware or GamCare for free, confidential support.
